Q: Your emotions after claiming the number one spot on the charts?
A: I will never be able to forget that moment. I was watching a sad movie at the moment, when I received a sudden phone call from Jo Kwon, who started shouting at me. He told me that our album climbed all the way to number one right after its release. The mixed emotions overwhelmed me. If we ever win first place at a music program later on, I would like to sing our song on stage with my close singer friends.
Q: Your exclusive charm?
A: Out of all four members of 2AM, my voice is the smoothest. Various people have complimented me on my falsetto in the past. Also, my round eyes, classic image and soft voice are all considered part of my charm.
Q: Your way of styling?
A: I really love clothes. I once wanted to be an editor for a fashion magazine because of my interest in styling and designing. I was also the one who suggested the unbalanced hair style I have right now. I want to express my hidden image through my way of styling.
Q: Any interest in acting?
A: I had to act in one scene [in the music video] when I had to cry in the rain. After acting out my emotions with a passion, I felt a strange feeling of pleasure for myself. I don’t think acting and singing are any different. I think the way to control my emotions comes naturally for me after years of singing practice.
Q: A birthday gift for your girlfriend?
A: A present I would give to my girlfriend if I had one? How about flowers? Today’s photoshoot concept was flowers too. It felt really good to breathe in the aroma of flowers during the photoshoot. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt something this fresh.
Q: What were you like seven years ago? What will you be like seven years from now?
A: Seven years ago, I was a freshman in high school. That was when I began to have interest in music by black artists. Wheesung has also introduced me to the music world, and I fell in love with it even more after learning about amazing artists like Maxwell and Stevie Wonder. Seven years from now, I would like to be a versatile entertainer. I am eager to be talented in many areas.
